Debut trailer for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis has been released on the same day it was announced it will premiere at Cannes Film Festival.

Cosmopolis, directed by David Cronenberg and starring Robert Pattinson is based on the book by Don Dellilo of the same name. The film follows a millionaire (Pattinson) on his journey across Manhattan to get a haircut. Don't let the simple plot fool you, because this is not an innocent film of a simple journey across a city. From what we see in the trailer, Pattinson's character is quite the sadist as he shoots a bullet through his own hand. He is also described as narcissistic, cynical and paranoid. 

The cast also includes Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon, Jay Baruchel and Samantha Morton.
